Watch for cougars – local dog had a run-in with a cougar

On Sunday afternoon, Marya Korhonen’s Coon Hound had a run in with a cougar up on Melody Place.  Marya, at the time, didn’t know what had caused the injuries to the dog but her vet confirmed that it looked to be wounds inflicted by a cougar.  Marya’s dog will be alright.

Please be aware that there are cougars in the area and to be aware of your surroundings.  Please report any cougar sightings in the area to:  1-800-663-9453
