Juan de Fuca Electoral Area
The Capital Regional District (CRD) invites
applications from residents interested in sitting on
the Juan de Fuca Electoral Area Parks and Recreation
Commission to provide advice on parks and
recreation in the Juan de Fuca Electoral Area. The
following volunteer positions are vacant:
East Sooke 1 Position, 2 Year Term
Otter Point 2 Positions, 2 Year Term
Port Renfrew 1 Position, 2 Year Term
Willis Point 1 Position, 2 Year Term
Meetings are held at 5:00 p.m. on the fourth
Tuesday of each month at the Juan de Fuca Planning
ofﬁce, #2 – 6868 West Coast Road, Sooke, BC.
Appointments will be for a two (2) year term
commencing January 2010.
Send us a one-page summary telling about yourself,
your area of knowledge and why you would like to
serve on the Commission.
Deadline for receipt of applications is December 31,
2009.

Tar and Gravel, part deux, targetted for July 1st

The target date for Mainroad to redo the road is July 1st. Expect 2-3 weeks of loose gravel before a sweeping happens.

Road Cleanup, May 31st 2009

Thank you to all the volunteers that helped out for the 2009 road cleanup. It was a tremendous success, with a huge amount of rubbish collected, particularly from the entrances to the parks surrounding our area.

No Open Burning

May 31 st is the last day for open burning in Willis Point, no other fires are permitted until the fall.
