Treatment Guidelines for First Responders are now on-line in an easy to use site. The following is from Randy Shaw, the director of First Responder Services.
Please click the link http://www.bctg.bcas.ca/ to access the Emergency and Health Services Commissions Treatment Guidelines for all Emergency Medical Assistance license holders. It is an excellent, easy to use site. Once on the site you click on adult or pediatric guidelines, choose the category you wish to access. Within the category see tabs entitled Principles and Interventions. When you click on interventions you will see a side bar with the different EMA-LB licenses. Choose First Responders and you will receive the appropriate treatment for your license.
